Broadcast Technical Operator
Broadcast Technical Operator is designed for agile individuals equipped with strong technical abilities to implement creative ideas into great broadcast outputs for both our project teams and customers. As part of Garena Production Team, you will explore multiple broadcast levels from virtual events to the real field of offline events such as esports.
Job Description
- Operate and ensure that all proper broadcast systems and equipment are in place, providing the highest quality, industry best practices, and uninterrupted live-stream production.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues proficiently and initiate preventive actions for future programs.
- Collaborate with the program director, technical operators, and other stakeholders in ensuring the technical quality of the programs.
- Contribute to the improvement of the in-house studio facilities based on specific project needs and latest broadcast technology trends.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a broadcast technical operator or equivalent.
- Familiarity in operating the technical technology and equipment, multi-camera studio production would be preferred.
- Expertise in configuration of system settings to match specific project need, including but not limited to the creation of signal flow for the integration of broadcast machines.
- Proficiency in the use of broadcast studio technology, equipment, and procedures required for live broadcasting operations, including but not limited to stream management and encoding to multiple destinations.
- Solution-oriented collaborator within a fast-paced environment: able to collaborate with both production and project teams in understanding the direction from the program directors, troubleshooting technical problems, and evaluating necessary actions for improvement.
- Highly passionate about esports and able to efficiently comprehend and contribute to the program flows with the experience and knowledge in esports or gaming tournaments would be preferred
