Intern, Game Technical Artist
Job Description
- Create and implement simple game-ready art assets for characters, environments, props, and UI.
- Assist with integrating art assets into the game engine, including materials, shaders, and prefabs.
- Support rapid prototyping by following and contributing to established art workflows and tools.
- Collaborate with programmers and designers to ensure visuals support gameplay clarity.
- Help identify and resolve basic visual or performance issues during builds and playtests.
Job Requirements
- Familiarity with at least one game engine (e.g., Unity or Unreal) and basic asset implementation.
- Foundational skills in 3D art creation (models, textures, materials).
- Basic understanding of lighting, materials, and animation setup.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and staff.
- Time management and organizational skills to meet weekly deliverables and deadlines.
- Experience in game development (academic projects, personal projects, or professional experience) is a plus.
