Game Artist (Independent Contractor - Onsite)

As a Game Artist, you will be responsible for creating and supporting a wide range of visual assets that bring game concepts to life. This role requires a highly adaptable individual who can work across different art styles, asset types, and game engines while collaborating closely with designers and developers to deliver engaging player experiences.

Job Description
  • Create and implement a wide range of game assets, including characters, environments, props, UI, and visual effects
  • Adapt to different art styles and project requirements across various game concepts
  • Collaborate closely with designers and developers to integrate assets into game engines
  • Support rapid prototyping by producing quick concepts and placeholder assets
  • Optimize assets for performance and cross-platform compatibility
  • Assist in setting up materials, textures, and basic animations within game engines
  • Iterate quickly based on gameplay, technical, and artistic feedback while contributing to continuous improvement of art pipelines and workflows
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a design-related field (final-year students with relevant game art internship experience are welcome to apply)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing versatility across various art styles and asset types
  • Experience in creating 2D and/or 3D game assets
  • Proficient in several art tools (e.g., Photoshop, Blender, Maya) and familiar with game engines such as Unity or Unreal
  • Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new tools, workflows, and production pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
  • Willing to work under 6-months independent contractor contract and able to go on full WFO arrangement in South Jakarta office
