Legal Assistant
Job Description
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Legal Department.
- Maintain and organize legal documents, including filing, photocopying, scanning, archiving, and ensuring proper record management.
- Administer and maintain the contracts database, corporate records, licenses, and other legal documents.
- Assist in preparing, organizing, and submitting corporate filings and applications to relevant government authorities, including business registration amendments and other licensing procedures.
- Coordinate notarization, certification, legalization, and document execution processes when required.
- Review standard-form agreements, templates, and routine legal documents in accordance with approved precedents.
- Prepare first drafts of simple legal documents, letters, powers of attorney, board/shareholder resolutions, and other routine legal paperwork.
- Track contract execution status, maintain contract database, and follow up on document collection and renewal deadlines.
- Liaise with internal departments to collect necessary information as required by the Associates/Counsels.
- Assist the Legal team with legal research and other ad hoc legal and administrative tasks assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Law or a related discipline.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a legal assistant, legal secretary, paralegal, or legal administrative role.
- Highly ethical, discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
- Meticulous, organized and committed to delivering high-quality work
- Able to manage a large amount of paperwork, multitask and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
