Game Programmer
Job Description
- Develop playable game builds based on assigned or approved concepts.
- Contribute to the design, coding, and implementation of gameplay features and systems.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues to ensure stable and smooth gameplay experiences.
- Contribute to shared code and tools that improve development efficiency across prototypes and iterations.
- Profile, instrument, and analyze gameplay systems to diagnose performance, stability, and synchronization issues.
- Document key learnings from development and playtests, and propose actionable improvements or iterations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency with modern game engines (e.g., Unity or Unreal) and the ability to build playable gameplay features independently.
- Solid programming fundamentals in relevant languages (e.g., C#, C++, or equivalent), focused on gameplay systems and code quality.
- Good understanding of game design basics and player experience, able to implement mechanics as intended.
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with designers, artists, and other programmers.
- Reliable time management and ownership to deliver features within agreed timelines.
- Experience working on a commercial game, or a portfolio of personal game projects is a plus.
