Intern, Game Designer
Job Description
- Assist in the design and iteration of game mechanics, systems, and levels under supervision.
- Support the development of gameplay loops and player progression models.
- Help create, maintain or update design documentation (GDDs, feature specs, wireframes).
- Collaborate with the game design and development team to implement game features.
- Assist in organizing and running of playtests, collecting and analyzing player feedback.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in game development tools and platforms (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Roblox Studio, or other relevant engines).
- Basic understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and user experience.
- Basic knowledge of design tools and documentation practices.
- Strong willingness to learn and receive feedback.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and staff.
- Demonstrated work through a portfolio of personal projects, game jams, or coursework is a plus.
